If They Didn’t Play For Us

I put together a list of five players with some explanation of where I think some of my player’s would thrive if they didn’t play for the good ol’ New Orleans Saints.

QB Maalik Murphy: JT & The Panthers: While I don’t think it’s rude to say Murphy would not have the statistical success with Carolina the same way he has for the Saints, Murphy is the QB JT loves in every way. He’s 6’5 245 with good running and throwing attributes as well as solid catching and route running for whatever JT cooks up. JT also knows how to scheme and I would love to see Murphy utilized even more creatively in the run and pass game. Finally, Murphy transferred to UNC for his last season in the PML College sim, it would have been cool to see him stay in Carolina. Cam Clone just makes sense.

WR Chris Olave: Codes & The Chargers: Olave was a hard one to place because he’s just really good but somehow at the same time feels like nothing special which lets him both dominate and strike out of nowhere. I think that would fit perfectly into Codes offense as Chase Roberts is essentially a way better Johnny Wilson so the tandem of Olave and Roberts would certainly make defenses go insane. I also feel like Codes understands abilities well and would get Olave open more often.

WR AT Perry: Ke & The Texans: I’m not going to lie, if it wasn’t for how Ke built and dominated with AT last cycle, I think I would have left his 23 year old rookie 68 overall self waste away and be irrelevant. Instead he was an important WR3 and WR2 at times even though he’s now found himself as WR4 with very little playing time. That brings me to my point, I have too many mouths to feed to get AT valuable playing time and touches and Ke would slide him in as a Nico Collins replacement or backup and would for sure let AT shine like he could if someone wanted to make him genuinely good.

TE JaTavion Sanders: Mike & The Raiders: Now the placement is obvious cause this gives Mike a better TE than he’s currently using in Michael Mayer while also giving him some home grown Texas Longhorn talent, but don’t be fooled by the Mike of seasons 1-3, he looks to be back on track with his young receiving core and a safety blanket like Sanders would elevate this offense to let him compete with the top defenses. I trust Mike to utilize all of his players well and JaTavion would be no different and I’m sure would be successful with Arch.

CB Jaylon Carlies: Cook & The Rams: While Carlies is a solid CB3/Rotational Slot CB for me, I think he really would have reached a new peak with a user like Cook who would have kept him at Safety and made him into a DPOY kind of player like Cook did for Devon Jackson. Carlies can cover, hit, and run stop and at 6’3 he would definitely find a home on the Rams defense and I’d bet he would produce.
