It’s incredibly frustrating to have lost to division rivals like the Seahawks and Rams four times in just seven weeks. These losses are a hard pill to swallow and point directly to the areas we urgently need to address as a team.
Our quarterback, Shedeur Sanders, put up some strong numbers today with 382 yards and 3 touchdowns. However, the glaring issue was the 7 interceptions. While it’s clear that Shedeur has the arm talent and vision, today’s game highlighted the critical need for him to make safer decisions. We can’t win football games with that number of turnovers, and we will be working closely with him to ensure better ball security and decision-making in high-pressure situations. Despite today’s setbacks, I believe in Shedeur’s ability to learn and adapt. His growth is a key component of our team’s future success.
On a brighter note, Barrett Carter stepped up in a big way today, filling in for Fred Warner. Barrett’s performance, highlighted by a key interception, was a silver lining. His ability to step into a leadership role on defense and make significant plays shows his potential and the depth we are building within our squad.
George Kittle continues to prove why he is one of the best tight ends in the league. Each week, he establishes himself not just as a reliable target but as a playmaker who can change the course of the game. Today, he amassed 161 yards and a touchdown, demonstrating his exceptional skill set and competitive spirit.
Looking forward, it’s clear we have a lot of work to do. The recurring issues of turnovers and missed opportunities are areas we will be addressing rigorously in practice. We’ll be focusing on fundamentals, decision-making under pressure, and overall team cohesion. Our objective is to turn these painful losses into powerful lessons that strengthen us as a unit.
While today’s loss is disappointing, it’s also a part of our journey. We are building a team culture centered on resilience, learning, and continuous improvement. I am confident in our team’s ability and commitment to overcome these challenges and perform better in our upcoming matchups.
