Panthers Offseason Preview

pUp next we have the Carolina Panthers, finishing with a 2-15 record. Bryce Young had a solid season all things considered, finishing with 37 touchdowns and 34 interceptions. Jonathan Brooks had a near 1000 yard season on the ground, though we know the Panthers love to use a stable of running backs. Xavier Legette established himself as a #1 WR with 1687 yards and 20 touchdowns, and Tommy Tremble added a 1000 yard season from the TE position. Trevin Wallace was the breakout superstar on defense, but the rest of that side of the ball leaves plenty of room for improvement.p p

Summary:p
pThere are not many notable players that could be moving on from this team in the offseason, but there are also not a ton of notable players on the roster in general. The Panthers will have some room to add veteran talent through free agency, but the highlight of their offseason will come through the draft. We know JT and I really wonder if he will stick with Bryce Young at QB or if he will roll with a player like Jalen Milroe or Cam Ward at #2. Trading Jaycee Horn was definitely a blow to their defense, but the #7 pick was likely worth it. I personally would love to see Travis Hunter go to Carolina, as I think they are one of the only high picking teams that would be able to get him to his full potential. I expect a lot of resources to be spent in the secondary this offseason to improve their awful pass defense. I would not be surprised if they move down from one of their two top ten picks to pick up as many players in this draft as possible.
