Week 2 Snapshot

This will be a weekly series where I will be looking at the box score and giving a summary/ my thoughts of how I felt each game went if I was able to watch it. This may change as the season goes on and the article progresses but for now this is how it is.

Titans 52 VS Broncos 48

The Broncos out Levised Levis. It’s rare that a team will throw more interceptions than Will Levis but the Broncos found themselves as that team in this one. Despite throwing 6 interceptions between Rogers and Nix, they were in it till the end. What’s the reason that Miles and the Titans can’t play without interceptions in most games? If he could then you’d see more wins.

Commanders 45 VS Chiefs 25

The Commanders have knocked off their second straight playoff team and are playing extremely well. Daniels had a lot of touchdowns and passing yards last season but the interceptions hurt him in the end. So far this season they haven’t come and as long as those don’t show up, the Commanders will win games. This was a tough loss for the Chiefs after knocking off the superbowl champs in week 1.

Falcons  20 VS Dolphins 48

The Falcons changed up their entire defense this offseason, trading the potential number 1 overall pick and it hasn’t helped. The crazy art about this game is the defense forced Sanders into 4 interceptions but somehow still gave up 48 points. The Falcons should have kept their pick and taken a quarterback because who they have on the roster isn’t winning them games. I will say this every week until they win a game.

Bengels 14 VS Texans 21

These are the games that I feel Vet can stay in and win. He can keep up with most of the middle to low tier users in the league and he will sometimes sneak in wins for the high tier users. The ground game using Moss was tired in this game but he ran 23 times for just 86 yards even though he had 8 broken tackles. This was a very winnable game and Vet needs to win these to stay in the AFC North race. Good win for the Texans who are very much up  in their own division.

Bills 20 VS Jets 48

Milroe comes back from his bad performance in week one to out play the great Josh Allen in this one. He was pinpoint, completing over 80% of his throws and scoring 2 touchdowns with 0 interceptions. Allen on the other hand lost the game for his team throwing 4 interceptions. You can’t let yourself be outplayed by a rookie quarterback and Allen will be kicking himself for that performance.

Lions 24 VS Browns 27

HD goaded the new guy to immediately play his game and it worked out well for him. You never want to come in and lose to HD as your first loss, let alone get bullied to play then lose. This isn’t the previous Lions user in terms of skill but he brings in the content which most of the league doesn’t do so I believe he will be a great addition.

Panthers 27 VS Buccaneers 56

If endings to Panthers games result in these types of scores then we will see JT getting a top pick again in the offseason. I think that the ship will turn around but it didn’t look good here. The Bucs rookie Rourke outplayed the better overall rookies in Jeanty and Hunter. If you are a Panther fan this isn’t what you want to see.

Jaguars 34 VS Colts 31

We’ve got a user who has won more games not being in chat then guys who are in chat everyday. Bruh isn’t in the discord, however, he is still playing his games and looks to be competing within his division. It will be ironic if the AFC South lets someone who isn’t even here win the division.

Rams 13 VS Bears 24

The Bears got their top rookie this offseason and he has hit the ground running. Perkins is a top candidate for defensive rookie of the year, and had a fumble recovery in this game. The Bears defense forced 4 fumbles and recovered 3 of them. This doesn’t happen often, however, you have to take advantage when it does. The Bears did and they look to be off to a great start after a disaster back half of the season last season.

Raiders 58 VS Eagles 38

The defense was non-existent for the Eagles. Milton and Thronton did whatever they wanted up and down the field. Multiple long touchdowns were given up when certain coverages were exposed. The offense was able to put up points but not enough to keep up with a team that scored on almost every possession. I am not sure what’s going on with the defense this season as they were one of the better ones last season but if something doesn’t change then we could see this team with a top 5 pick given the hard schedule we have.

Cowboys 14 Vs Chargers 42

I think JC acted like Drama was still the Cowboys here because he just beat the breaks off of them. This game came down to both quarterbacks who played the exact opposite. Herbert threw five touchdowns while Lance threw 4 interceptions. It’s a great thing that DOC was gifted a second chance out of the AFC West because judging by this score, he wouldn’t have fit there.

Ravens 24 VS Steelers 31

Lamar and the Ravens were supposed to be at the top of the division every season. They were supposed to be winning and competing for this division and the team looks like a shell of its former self. This was the worst division in the league last season and it once again looks like HD will win it easily. FakeJake got the good win and hopefully the Steeler team has enough to compete with HD.

49ers 33 VS Seahawks 47

Purdy completed 15 passes for 4 touchdowns and 421 yards. That’s a crazy statline as he averaged 28 yards per pass completion. It’s a great thing that the Hawks were able to intercept him 4 times because had they not, we might have seen a historic day for him. The 49ers disappointed last season, however, they need to come back with a vengeance if they hope to beat the top team in their division.

Giants 17 VS Cardinals 31

Despite Jefferson throwing a total of 4 interceptions, this was a one score game until the end. In the red zone, down one score, Jefferson thought he had the streak but it was jumped in front and intercepted which led to the loss. Jefferson is having some success but just like Jones last season, the interceptions are leading to offensies being able to out score them. The Cards are looking like a comeback team of the year candidate with their players finally healthy and playing great games.

Saints 40 VS Patriots 34

The Saints barely scrape by the Pats computer. This could have been a game that  they lost and would have been one that would have come back to bite them if they end up being in the same boat for the playoffs as last season.

Packers 33 Vs Vikings 35

This was a great win for the Vikings and could have been a disaster if they would have lost. The superbowl champ going 0-2 would have been the talk of the league and it would have been a bad hole given the Bears recent success. Both offenses played well and it looks like Allar might be a rookie of the year candidate. The Packers were almost there last season and these games are the ones they need to win in order to avoid the same fate.
