Reporter: “Coach Todd, tough news today on the injury front. Can you give us an update on Aidan Hutchinson and Jameson Williams?”
Coach Eddie Todd: “Yeah, unfortunately, both Aidan and Jameson are going to be out for an extended period of time. It’s a big loss for us, no doubt. These guys are key pieces on both sides of the ball, but it’s part of the game. We’ll rally as a team and move forward.”
Reporter: “Let’s shift to today’s game. Despite the loss, Jared Goff had an impressive performance—309 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 1 interception. What did you see from him?”
Coach Todd: “Jared was fantastic today. He really stepped up and showed why he’s earned that starting role back. He was sharp, made great decisions, and delivered when we needed it. His leadership was evident all game long.”
Reporter: “The rushing game, though, had a rough day. Gibbs only managed 37 yards against that tough Vikings defense. What was the challenge there?”
Coach Todd: “Yeah, they’re a physical defense, especially up front. We struggled to get anything going on the ground, and Gibbs just couldn’t find much space out there. We’ve got to look at the tape and see what we can do better moving forward.”
Reporter: “But, on the receiving end, Sam LaPorta had a monster game—6 catches, 180 yards, and 2 touchdowns. What can you say about his performance?”
Coach Todd: “Sam was incredible today. He’s been a weapon for us all year, and he really took over when we needed him to. He’s got a great connection with Jared, and he made some huge plays.”
Reporter: “St. Brown also chipped in with 3 catches for 69 yards and a touchdown. How important is it to have that kind of production from your top guys, even when the run game is struggling?”
Coach Todd: “It’s critical. When we can’t get things going on the ground, our passing game has to step up, and Amon-Ra always answers the call. He’s consistent, and his touchdown came at a key moment. These guys fight every play.”
Reporter: “Defensively, Ennis Rakestraw led the team with 13 tackles, followed closely by Malcolm Rodriguez with 12. Your thoughts on their performance?”
Coach Todd: “Ennis was all over the field today, and Malcolm as well. They’re the heart of our defense, and they kept us in it as long as they could. Both guys are relentless.”
Reporter: “The pass rush also came through—Hutchinson, McNeill, Paschal, and Tuimoloau combined for 3.5 sacks. How do you feel about that effort?”
Coach Todd: “The pressure was there all game. Those guys up front did a great job of getting after the quarterback and making him uncomfortable. It’s tough without Aidan, but everyone stepped up.”
Reporter: “Coach, the Vikings just seemed to be the better team today. What are your thoughts on the matchup?”
Coach Todd: “Yeah, you’ve got to be at your best to beat the Vikings. They’re a disciplined team, and they made fewer mistakes than we did today. Credit to them—they were just better. But we’re already looking ahead to our next opportunity when we head to Minnesota. We’ll be ready.”
Reporter: “And speaking of looking ahead, next week you’ve got the Pittsburgh Steelers. What’s the early outlook on that game?”
Coach Todd: “We’re shifting focus to Pittsburgh now. They’ve got a tough defense, and we’ll need to clean up some things from this week. I’ll have more to say about them in the coming days, but right now, it’s about regrouping and getting ready for the next challenge.”
Reporter: “Jared, huge day for you out there. 309 yards, 3 touchdowns, and a pick. How did you feel about your performance?
Jared Goff: “I felt good. I think we moved the ball well, especially through the air. We knew the Vikings were going to load up the box, so we had to attack through the air, and it worked for the most part. Obviously, we didn’t get the result we wanted, but there are a lot of positives to build on.”
Reporter: “Sam LaPorta had a career day—6 catches, 180 yards, 2 TDs. How important has he been for you?”
Goff: “Sam’s been amazing. He’s got great hands, runs crisp routes, and always finds a way to get open. That connection has been building all year, and today he really showed what he can do.”
Reporter: “Sam, huge game for you—180 yards and 2 touchdowns. What was working so well for you today?
Sam LaPorta: “It was all about executing the game plan. We saw some things on film that we thought we could exploit, and Jared put the ball in the perfect spots. I just tried to make plays for the team.”
Reporter: “Amon-Ra, 3 catches, 69 yards, and a touchdown. How did you feel about your impact in today’s game?”
Amon-Ra St. Brown: “It’s always good to find the end zone, but we didn’t do enough as a team. We made some plays, but not enough to win. We’ve got to be better, myself included.”
Reporter: “Ennis, 13 tackles today. You were flying all over the field. How did you feel about your performance?”
Ennis Rakestraw: “I was just trying to do my job. It’s about being in the right spot, reading the plays, and making tackles. But at the end of the day, it’s about wins and losses, and we came up short.”
Reporter: “Malcolm, 12 tackles. How tough was it out there today?”
Malcolm Rodriguez: “It’s always a battle against Minnesota. They’re a physical team, and you’ve got to bring it every down. We’ll learn from this and keep grinding.”
Reporter: “Thanks, everyone. Coach Todd, good luck next week against Pittsburgh.”
Coach Todd: “Thanks, we’ll be ready.”
