What were some of the contributing factors to the loss this week?
Turnovers. We threw three interceptions and had a fumble loss. We were winning the ball game heading into the 4th quarter, but we have to protect the ball better, especially down the stretch.
RB Roman Hemby is so impressive, how hard he runs is so apparent. What else about his skill set makes him special?
He’s a three down back, but what we really appreciate is his ability to catch the ball, run after the catch, and his quick feet to break quickly out of his routes. He’s a special player that it pivotal to moving the ball on our offense.
Did you scout Abdul Carter before the draft? If so, what stood out about him?
Honestly, no. We had two players that we wanted with our first rounder, they were taken, so we traded our selection to Arizona. We turned those picks into Quinn Ewers and our starting left tackle, so the trade that sent Carter to Arizona was mutually beneficial.
