Coach JacNOff Postgame Interview

Reporter: “Coach, congrats on the preseason win. It was a strong performance from several players. Can you share your thoughts on the game and the standout efforts from your guys?”

Coach JacNOff:
“Thank you. It’s always good to start the preseason with a win, but more than the result, I’m excited about the effort and execution we saw from a lot of our players. This game was about evaluating talent, and I think we learned a lot about our team tonight.”

On Nyck Harbor:
“Nyck showed exactly why we took him with the first overall pick. His athleticism is off the charts, but tonight he proved he can make plays when it matters. Catching passes, creating separation—he did everything we asked of him and more. It’s great to see him translating what we’ve been working on in practice to game situations. There’s still room to grow, but he’s well on his way to becoming a special player for us.”

On Tyler Allgeier:
“Man, Tyler was electric out there. To think we picked him up off the streets and now he’s putting up 126 yards and two touchdowns on just 10 carries—it’s incredible. He ran with power, vision, and speed. Performances like that earn you a serious look for a roster spot, and he’s made it clear he’s here to compete.”

On Will Campbell:
“Will was rock solid on the offensive line. No pressures allowed is exactly what you want to see from your guys up front. He looked poised and disciplined, which is key. If he can keep that up, he’s going to be an anchor for us moving forward.”

On Jeremiah Cooper:
“Jeremiah didn’t have the splashy game some might have expected, but it’s all part of the process. He’s learning, and these reps are invaluable for his development. One tackle and a TFL might not jump off the stat sheet, but it’s preseason—it’s about figuring out where he fits and how we can best utilize his talents. I’m confident he’ll bounce back and show us what he’s capable of.”

On Flip Dixon II:
“Flip was outstanding. An undrafted guy coming in and making six tackles with an interception? That’s the kind of performance that catches a coach’s eye. He’s making a strong case for a spot on this roster, and if he keeps this up, it’s going to be hard to keep him off the field.”

On Dorian Strong:
“Dorian’s transition from corner to safety is looking better every day. Four tackles and a pick-six—what more can you ask for? He’s playing with confidence, and that pick-six was a big-time play. He’s embraced the change in position, and it’s starting to pay off for him and for us.”

Reporter: “Coach, sounds like you’ve got a lot of tough decisions ahead as you trim the roster. How do you feel about the competition so far?”

Coach JacNOff:
“That’s the way we want it—competition brings out the best in everyone. We’ve got a lot of talented players battling for spots, and that’s a great problem to have. It’s going to be tough, but I wouldn’t want it any other way. We’re building something special here, and these guys are making us better every day.”

Reporter: “Thanks, Coach. Good luck the rest of the season.”

Coach JacNOff: “Thank you. We’re just getting started.”
