Coach JacNOff’s Post-Draft Interview

Reporter: “Coach, congrats on completing your second draft with the team. Can you walk us through your thoughts on this year’s draft class?”

Coach JacNOff: “Thank you, it’s an exciting time for the organization. We felt this was a pivotal draft for us, and I couldn’t be happier with the players we brought in. Let me break it down for you.”

On Nyck Harbor (WR, Round 1):
“Nyck Harbor is an absolute game-changer. You don’t find 97-speed guys walking around every day. Sure, he’s raw in some areas, but with his athleticism, he has the tools to become one of the most dynamic playmakers in the league. Our staff is excited to get him in the system and maximize his potential.”

On Elijah Wright (RE, Round 2):
“Elijah Wright brings physicality and versatility to our defensive line. He’s the kind of player who can make an immediate impact, whether that’s setting the edge or getting after the quarterback. We’re looking forward to seeing how he develops with our defensive coaches.”

On Caleb Bacon (LOLB, Round 5):
“Caleb is a winner, plain and simple. Coming off a national championship at Iowa State, he knows what it takes to compete at the highest level. He’s got great instincts, and his motor never stops. I think he’ll be a key piece on special teams early on, and who knows—he could push for a bigger role sooner rather than later.”

On Jeremiah Cooper (FS, Round 6):
“Jeremiah was a steal for us in the sixth round. The fact that he and Caleb won a title together at Iowa State adds a level of chemistry to our defense that we’re excited to explore. Pairing him with Tyrann Mathieu is huge; there’s no better mentor for a young safety. Jeremiah is going to get a lot of reps, and we think he has a bright future ahead of him.”

On DiGiorgia (RT, Round 7):
“DiGiorgia is a grinder. At 66 overall, he’s not coming in as a Day 1 starter, but we see a lot of potential in him. He’s got the size and tools to develop into a dependable tackle, and we’ll give him every opportunity to grow. Depth on the offensive line is critical, and he fits what we’re building here.”

Reporter: “Coach, what’s your overall assessment of this draft?”

Coach JacNOff:
“I think we nailed it. We brought in a mix of high-ceiling talent and hard-working players who fit our culture. Nyck Harbor could be a superstar, Cooper and Bacon bring winning mentalities, and guys like Wright and DiGiorgia give us a strong foundation to build on. We’ve got a lot of work ahead, but I feel great about where we’re headed.”

Reporter: “Thanks, Coach, and good luck this season!”

Coach JacNOff: “Thanks! Can’t wait to get to work.”
