We are going to look at the top ten from the most recent ppl draft and see their possible dev chances. DDT drops in roughly 2 hours and this will give a quick insight to those who may not know what this is, or how players can get a dev in our draft system.
For those who are unaware, our entire custom draft class starts as Normal dev. This tool takes our draft class and checks a number of factors that typically determine if a player is going to be good or not. Such as:
- The raw skills of the player
- If the player went through a college that is heavily represented in the NFL hall of fame
- Where the player was selected in the draft
- The team scheme fit of the player
- If the player was drafted to replace a superstar or star that is 27 or older
- If the player won any college awards
- If the player made any all-american teams
- If the player won a bowl game
- If the player came from a conference that is heavily represented in the NFL hall of fame
- If the player’s college was a top 25 school at the end of the season
- If the player was heavily recruited out of high school.
Now that the refresher course is done let’s jump into the top 10. We will go over some not all of the possible points towards a dev chance.
- Nyck Harbor- A 5 Star recruit, team finished with Bowl victories but not in the top 25 with no awards won and no all American. Most likely range Normal – Star.
- Arch Manning- A 5 star recruit, No bowl win, finished top ten, won multiple awards including Heisman and all American second team. Most Likely range Superstar- X-Factor
- Matayo Uiagalelei- Not a 5 star recruit, Team won a bowl game, and finished top 25. Won best D-lineman of the year but not named all American. Most Likely range Star – Superstar
- Gavin Sawchuk. Not a 5 star recruit No bowl win but a top 25 team. No awards but second team all American. Most likely range Normal – Star
- Emarrion Winston- Not a 5 star recruit and our first 3 star recruit drafted. Team won a bowl game and finished top 25. No awards or all American. Most likely range Normal – Star
- Justin Kirkland- Not a 5 star recruit, and another 3 star. No Bowl wins and not a top 25 school. No awards but all American. Most likely range Normal – Star
- Nico Iamaleava- A 5 star recruit whose team did not win a bowl game or finish top 25. No all American but won an award. Most likely range Normal – Star
- Caleb Downs- A 5 star recruit whose team did not win a bowl game and did not finish top 25. No awards but a second team all American. Most likely range Normal – Star
- Jeffery Bassa- Not a 5 star recruit but his team did win a bowl game and finish top 25. No awards or all American. Most likely range Normal – Star
- Avery Johnson- Not a 5 star recruit. No bowl wins but a top 25 school. Won awards and all American. Most likely range Star – Superstar.
These are just a few of the ingredients that go into the DDT calculator. If you look at the teams and if they were replacing older star dev or better players and the school history you should be able to narrow this down a bit further. Just because someone has high or low points in the DDT does not guarantee them Normal or XF. It still can be a c*** shoot. We will see what happens in about two hours. Happy DDT and Week One day !
