GM Benny:
Thank you, Alex. This was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. After a lot of reflection and discussions with my family, I’ve realized that my responsibilities at home need to come first right now. My wife is facing some personal challenges, and I need to be there for her in ways I haven’t been able to while running the team.
Alex Carter:
That’s incredibly honorable. The team and the fans have always admired your dedication, not just to the organization but to your values. Was there a specific moment that made you feel it was time to step away?
GM Benny:
There wasn’t one moment, really—it’s been building for a while. Balancing the demands of this job and my personal life has been a challenge. I’ve always believed that family comes first, and my wife has been my rock through everything. She’s supported me every step of the way, and now it’s my turn to return that support.
Alex Carter:
I think everyone here can respect that decision. As you prepare to step down, what’s your message to the team, the fans, and the organization moving forward?
GM Benny:
To the team: Keep pushing. This group is special, and I believe in every one of them. To the fans: You’ve been the heartbeat of this organization. Your loyalty and passion have driven everything we’ve done. And to the organization: Thank you for giving me the privilege of leading this team. The future is bright, and I’m confident the team is in good hands.

It’s clear how much this team and community mean to you, Benny. What’s next for you? Will you still be involved with the team in any capacity, or is this a full step back?
GM Benny:
For now, I need to focus on my family. That’s my priority. But the team will always be a part of my life, and I’ll always be cheering from the sidelines. If the opportunity arises down the line and the timing feels right, who knows? But for now, my role is to support my wife and be there for her every step of the way.
