Transcript: Chargers Head Coach Press Conference

Over your career, what makes a team better at not turning the ball over as the season goes along? What kind of things you need to emphasize? How much of it is coaching? How much of it is a mental part? Physical part?

It's just getting in a flow and finding what works and doesn't. Emphasis on winning the line of scrimmage so our guys touching the ball can focus on themselves. It's all mental, no one here is not physical enough.

Did you scout BYE before the draft? If so, what stood out about him?

Generational talent. His 7'7 400 pound frame really stood out.

Some would say your roster is one of the better teams in the league. Would you agree with that? Do you see any weaknesses in your team as you self-scout?

Def one of the better rosters through and through. Weaknesses are backup QB, maybe a lack of a do-it-all RB but I don't like that anyway, maybe a MLB2, maybe a fast safety. This team is as good as I think it can be, though. I wish I didn't suck with the kicking meter.

Can you speak to the overall team health?

OL10 is all that's out rn. Hoping for that kind of luck all season but we trust our depth at any position.
