What does it mean to you or the team to have such a great winning record at home this season?
It shows that we have the fans' support. Their loud noises at home are distracting the opposing teams enough that we are able to get what we want on defense, the quietness makes the team focus perfectly on offense and it has been a great help in getting our team a chance at heading to the playoffs last season.
How has Fred Warner’s experience in the league helped the team so far?
He was an instrumental piece to our defense playing well and his experience has helped out the other linebackers get skilled enough to play in sync with him. He is going to go into this season with some new guys to mentor and I know he will be a crucial part in our defense again as we try to be in the top 15 again in defense.
How do you see the competition level in the NFC West currently?
This is going to be one of the heavy hitters of the NFC again and we are looking to get some wins against the Seahawks and Cardinals this year to get us into the playoffs. Getting swept by both of them were what effectively kept us out of the playoffs, splitting the series or getting a sweep against them like we did to the Rams would play a huge part in our playoff chances.
Is quarterback a priority for this team in the upcoming draft?
We didn't get any guy to be the backup of Fifita in the draft so we are looking at keeping Zach as our backup as Noah starts in the season.
When the schedules were released this past offseason, analysts said you had one of the easier schedules they've seen. Do you see it that way as well?
It might look easy on paper, but any given Sunday can see our team lose. We have to play good football and keep the momentum from last season onto this one to get into the playoffs.
