HOLLYWOOD TAKEOVER IN ARIZONA

pAfter a disappointing few seasons in Arizona, it was evident to the ownership group and fans that change was needed – immediately. Missing the playoffs back to back to back seasons, with four or under wins each season the team needed answers. The answer didn’t come from where you would expect it to. The news broke late into the offseason when the owner Michael Bidwill, announced the sale of the team to Hollywood A-List Actor Brad Pitt. It left Arizona fans in pure confusion and looking like a laughing stock, and the rest of the NFL enjoying the comedy show going on in Arizona. Pitt bought the organization for a total of $5.5 billion and made a statement in his opening presser for the team that changes would come and there would be a culture shift for the team.p
pThe coaching staff remained the same with Head Coach Jonathan Gannon keeping his position with the team and Brad Pitt maintaining trust in him. After a hectic offseason, internal reports came out to the press assuring that things would be shifting for the better in Arizona and that Brad Pitt was determined to give fans something to look forward to again. Despite Pitt being a dedicated Chiefs fan, all his marbles were dumped into a basket to bring Arizona to the glory land. Brad Pitt made it aware he knew this wouldn’t be an easy rebuild but any means but he announced that he is determined to work with Coach Gannon and repair this team through player development and trades when needed. Coach Pitt has been confirmed to be not only the owner, but take over general manage duties after parting ways with former GM, Monti Ossenfort.p
pWhat the new Arizona Cardinals regime will bring? No one knows. It’s all a blur until the team is seen on the field. Having a Hollywood A-Lister and one of the best actors of our generation leading the helm gives positive assurance to a degree but he isn’t on the field making plays. What will come this season for the Cardinals will be seen soon, how soon will fans turn on new owner Brad Pitt and the coaching staff? Or how soon will they grow to be his biggest fans? Results will tell that story.
