The Giants rookie class is highlighted by Abdul Carter, however, they have some other guys who could start this season, as well as be built up to be great in years. This will be a mini series where we will see who starts and track their progress every quarter for the rest of the season.
Edge Abdul Carter SUPERSTAR 82 OVR (RD1P3):
Carter is hidden development but we all know he is a bonafide superstar. He comes out of the gate with 88 speed, 91 acceleration, 80 strength, with 80+ finesse, and power moves. He is a clear starter on defense and will be focus trained every week of the season. The goal is to have him get defensive rookie of the year and be a 90 overall player by the end of the season.
HB Cam Skattebo STAR 74 OVR (RD4P3):
Skattebo is a bruiser of a running back. He comes out of the gate with 85 speed, 90 acceleration, 81 strength, and 87 break tackle. He isn’t the player that Burn likes to use in his scheme, however their are ways that he will be involved in the offense. He will be involved heavily near the goal line and short yardage situations.
QB Jaxson Dart NORMAL 71 OVR (RD1P25):
Its never a bad thing to start off with a rookie quarterback, especially when you have a mentor at the same position. Dart isn’t the best typical madden quarterback as he has mid speed at 84 and mid throw power at 88 but he is serviceable starting out. His accuracies are decent with most in or near the 80 mark. He wasn’t going to start if I got the sitting scenario, however, since I didn’t the one year development and playing time is to much to pass on. The hope is that he surprises everyone and ends up as offensive rookie of the year.
DT Darius Alexander STAR 71 OVR (RD3P1)
Alexander is a old rookie at 25 years old but he comes in as someone who can start for a lower overall player. He wont be able to develop as quickly as someone who is younger but coming in as a star will help mitigate that. With the Giants already stacked at defensive line, He will come in on run specific downs and only play the pass as a backup or if someone gets hurt. He will continue to be developed and be looked at as someone who will be a great player if someone goes down.
WR Beaux Collins NORMAL 70 OVR (Undrafted)
Collins comes in at 6’3, 88 speed, 90 acceleration, and 89 jumping. He has good catching attributes with them all coming at 80+, however, he just isn’t someone who I will use. He will definitely make a good backup or someone to throw a jump ball in certain situations but other than that he wont get any playing time. He is a tradeable piece if someone sees the value in him that I do not.
RT Marcus Mbow NORMAL 67 OVR (RD5P18)
The Giants offensive line is about middle of the pack in the league and Mbow fits right into that category as well. He only has 84 strength, but has 70+ in all blocking categories. He is someone that I can be attribute requests in and could eventually be a solid backup at guard. He wont stay at tackle, as that would result in him getting beat on every single play.
TE Thomas Fidone NORMAL 65 OVR (RD7P13)
6’5 at tight end can always be used but 81 speed isn’t someone who I could use on a starting basis. He has decent catching attributes at 70+ and will be reliable as a second tight end.
