This is our first official check in to see how the Giants rookies are doing so far this year. We will take a look at their stats from the first four weeks and see if any of them are making a impact or potentially in line for any early awards.

Carter has been a machine for the Giants so far this year. He not only leads the team in sacks but the entire rookie class as well. He has been doing well in the run game with 8 tackles for loss and even dropped into coverage and recorded the game winning interception versus the Chargers in week 4. He is a game changer and is well on his way to hopefully a defensive rookie of the year title.

He hasn’t really been involved in the game so far this season. He has done a good job in short yardage when called upon but his speed is really hampering his usage on the team. He needs 1000 yards to hit his goal and I don’t think that is happening

Dart took over for Russell Wilson and has been fantastic so far this season. His statistics should actually be better than what they are as he had a 6 touchdown game versus the Chiefs that was erased and turned into only 2 touchdowns. He has lead the team to a 2-2 record which could have been 3-1, had his only mistake been a overthrow on 4th and goal to lose the game versus the Cowboys. Compared to his fellow rookie quarterbacks he ranks third in passing attempts and completions, touchdowns, however, first in limiting interceptions. His 10-2 touchdown to interception ratio is better than the 11-9, and 12-5 ratio of Cam Ward and Jalen Milroe. He will have some competition in order to get offensive rookie of the year, however, if he has more games like the Chiefs game then I can see him overpassing those two by the end of the season.
