Dallas Cowboys Week 1

The Dallas Cowboys traveled to Philadelphia to face their division rivals in a battle of the NFC East in a primetime matchup. The Eagles came away victorious 47-28. Newley hired HC Cody Hirsch was set for a tough matchup against a high powered offense and a strong defense as the Cowboys gave a valiant effort but came up short in Week 1.

Offensively QB Dak Prescott had a really well played game throwing for 349 yards, 3 touchdowns, and one interception, completing 24 passes on 39 attempts (61% completion percentage).

The Cowboys couldn’t manage to find a run game as the Eagles held the Cowboys to 17 yards rushing.

WR Jalen Tolbert lead the way in receiving with 6 receptions for 91 yards. Rookie RB Blue caught 4 passes for 79 yards and a touchdown, WR Lamb with 4 catches for 67 yards and 2 touchdowns, and newly acquired WR Pickens caught 4 passes for 44 yards.

Defensively LB Clark lead the way with 12 tackles, 3 TFLs, and a forced fumble, but the Cowboys as a team couldn’t find a way to stop the Eagles high powered offense giving up 479 total yards, and allowing QB Hurts to sit in the pocket and pick the secondary apart.

Following the first loss of the season the Cowboys will host the New York Giants in another NFC East division game.
