ARLINGTON, Texas — The Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers put on an offensive showcase Sunday afternoon, trading big plays and touchdowns in a game that wasn’t decided until the final minutes. In the end, Dallas leaned on quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver George Pickens to secure a 49–45 victory at AT&T Stadium.
Prescott Dials Up Five Touchdowns
Dak Prescott turned in one of his most efficient outings of the season, completing 32 of 41 passes for 475 yards and five touchdowns, while adding two interceptions. Prescott spread the ball around to seven different receivers, keeping the Packers’ defense guessing all night.
“Anytime you’re in a shootout like that, you just have to stay aggressive and trust your guys,” Prescott said postgame.
Pickens Puts Up Career Day
George Pickens delivered a dominant performance, posting eight receptions for 188 yards and two touchdowns, including a 53-yard score that electrified the Dallas crowd. His ability to stretch the field created consistent mismatches for Green Bay’s secondary.
Tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford added two catches for 81 yards and a touchdown, while rookie Jaydon Blue and veteran CeeDee Lamb each hauled in scores of their own.
Balanced Ground Attack
While the passing game fueled Dallas’ success, running back Javonte Williams provided much-needed balance. Williams rushed 15 times for 57 yards and a touchdown, showing toughness between the tackles and extending drives at key moments.
Defense Bends, Elam Doesn’t Break
Dallas’ defense surrendered 471 total yards and struggled to contain Green Bay’s passing attack, but the secondary made game-changing plays when it mattered.
Cornerback Kaiir Elam intercepted three passes, including one in the fourth quarter that sealed the win. Linebacker Damone Clark paced the team with nine tackles, while DaRon Bland added a sack and an interception of his own.
Game of Runs
The first half featured a flurry of offense, with both teams entering halftime tied 28–28. Green Bay briefly seized control in the third quarter, but Dallas closed strong, scoring 21 points in the fourth quarter to pull away late.
What’s Next
With the win, Dallas improves to 2 — 2 on the season and continues to establish itself as one of the NFC’s most explosive offenses. The Packers, meanwhile, fall to 2–2 after letting a road upset slip away.
The Cowboys will look to build on their momentum next week as they continue their push for early control of the NFC East.
