pThe Jaguars made a bold statement this week by protecting undrafted rookie cornerback Zemaiah Vaughn from being signed away. Vaughn, a 6’3” corner out of Utah with 91 speed and 92 acceleration, may only be a 65 OVR right now, but Coach Ke believes he’s a hidden gem. “Everybody knows I love my DBs,” Coach Ke said. “I’m starting to think I’ve got the perfect room and won’t need to draft any.”p
pAt just 23 years old, Vaughn brings elite size and traits that can’t be coached, and with the league’s Attribute Request (AR) system, he’ll continue to grow into a weapon in coverage. “With a little AR, I think he can be a really good player for us,” Coach Ke explained. The Jaguars already have a strong defensive backfield, but locking Vaughn down ensures they don’t lose out on his upside.p
pThis move shows confidence not only in Vaughn but in the philosophy of developing players in-house. It’s a long-term investment that could pay off huge as Jacksonville continues their march toward building a championship-caliber roster.p
