With just thirty minutes until we advance to the wildcard round of season one in this PML cycle, I thought I’d hop in and write up some final predictions for how the postseason will shake out. These are my legit predictions that shaped my Rank’Em submission.
AFC
Wildcard Round
Las Vegas Raiders @ Cleveland Browns
Beast slayed the undefeated Eagles earlier in the season, but I don’t think he gets his revenge for last cycle’s season 5 Super Bowl. Dot is just on a roll with Shedeur and his defense is as dangerous as ever. The AFC OPOY/OROY/Best RB Ashton Jeanty vs the AFC DPOY/DROY/Best LB Carson Schwesinger. Browns over Raiders 37-23.
Indianapolis Colts @ Denver Broncos
I think Greeny is right, if this is a snow game, it’s one of the worst home playoff games to host. The extremely pass reliant Bo Nix Broncos versus the ground and pound Colts who don’t commit many turnovers. Fallen got a lose lose with his seeding options in week 18. Colts 28, Broncos 20.
Baltimore Ravens @ New York Jets
Sorry Arod, I’m glad you got this far but the rosters are even more lopsided than the coaches. The Ravens are so good at every position and Mark is scrambling well with Lamar. Ravens will win 45-27 over the Jets.
Divisional
Indianapolis Colts @ Jacksonville Jaguars
The first of two divisional divisional matchups where teams will meet for the third time. I think Ke is simply too locked in and Greeny’s efficient gameplay still won’t be enough. The well-rested Jags should beat the Colts, roughly 31-21.
Baltimore Ravens @ Cleveland Browns
The second of these matchups is a rubber match after Dot and Mark split in the regular season. The Browns defense with this user is talented enough to stop the Ravens led by Lamar, who I do expect a strong fight from. I’ll say Browns 38, Ravens 35.
Championship
Cleveland Browns @ Jacksonville Jaguars
Ke gets another chance to reach his first bowl, and I think he takes it. He played second fiddle to dot all cycle long last year, he probably knows him better than anyone. And the Jaguars have been elite, while the Browns have been inconsistent. Give me Jaguars 35 to the Browns’ 27.
NFC
Wildcard
Seattle Seahawks @ Arizona Cardinals
These teams split in their first two matchups during the regular season, so it could go either way, especially with Kenneth Walker out and Kyler Murray struggling. I think defense wins in the playoffs in PML and Miles is bottom five right now, so I’ll take the underdog 7-seed CB Seahawks. Seattle wins 41-38 over the Cardinals.
Dallas Cowboys @ Atlanta Falcons
A newcomer versus an OG, most times the public would prefer the PML veteran, but it’s HD so the public is rooting for Xev, of Keraun’s coaching tree. I think the Falcons lost too much mojo down the stretch while the Cowboys have looked like one of the hottest squads. I’ll predict Dallas to score 52 and Atlanta to get 44 in a shootout.
Washington Commanders @ Minnesota Vikings
Que and Drama are both talking a lot in chat. One is a division winner yet 9-8. The other is 13-4, but has lost three of their last four games. Like I said earlier, I’m picking defenses and the Commanders are already elite, but now they get to play Kirk Cousins. It could get ugly. Washington 34, Vikings 20.
Divisional
Seattle Seahawks @ Philadelphia Eagles
Yeah, I don’t need to spend too much time on this one. I genuinely think CB has a good shot in round one and has been a good user. But Bohmer and the Eagles are miles ahead in this matchup. The Cardinals or Falcons would have had a better chance. Eagles 45, Seahawks 24.
Dallas Cowboys @ Washington Commanders
The NFC gets a rubber match of their own as three of their final four belong to the NFC East. The most recent matchup was a blowout win for Xev, but Que loves to save his bag for when it matters. I think the Cowboys come up short in a weird occurrence where the 5-seed Commanders get a second-round home game. I’ll say around 35 to 22, Washington over Dallas.
Championship
Washington Commanders @ Philadelphia Eagles
They’ve only played head to head once despite being in the same division and like I just said, Que wasn’t showing diddly squat since it was week 18. Both Bohmer and Que are looking for their first PML Super Bowl, and contrary to Cowboys vs Falcons in the Wildcard, the public and myself are on the vet over the rookie. Give me Washington 49, Eagles 48.
Super Bowl
Jacksonville Jaguars vs Washington Commanders
Someone gets their first PML Super Bowl in a battle between titans of personality and experience. Keraun will have superstar abilities on Trevor Lawrence to match Jayden Daniels. But, this game comes down to defense and I think Que will watch enough tape to be ready. I think Washington wins the season one Super Bowl as Jacksonville hangs on the edge, waiting for their roster to match their coaching. Commanders and Que win 38 to 34 over the Jags.
