pThe Giants currently hold the 6th pick in the First PML draft of this cycle. The Giants ended the season 5-12. This put them in a three way tie with the Titans and Dolphins for the same record. The Giants had the better tie breakers which resulted in beating them in the standings. This is going to be a series of articles where we’ll go through each of the top draft prospects that the Giants have on their draft board. We will see where each person fits on the time and the likeliness of the Giants drafting them. p
pThe Giants have a lot of bodies in their running back room at the moment. The run game had Tracy as the starter with Skat mixed in last season. This resulted in the worst rushing attack in the league. A mid season trade brought in Mitchell who was supposed to be the speedy back to compliment the two slower backs. This was a failure and led to Mitchell being relegated to the practice squad. p
pIn saying all of this, it brings us to the next prospect in Halfback Jermiyah Love. Love is a physical freak. His 4.29 combine time was off the charts and could result in the fastest rookie running back we’ve seen in a long time. This would fit perfectly in coach Burns scheme. He loves to involve the running back into the passing game and what better back to throw angle routes to than a 96 + speed one. Imagine the possibilities. If he is there at 6, he might be too good to pass up. p
