pPreseason is over and now it’s time to talk about who really rose up the depth chart. The number one riser for me is De’Zhaun Stribling. I’m not gonna lie, when I drafted him I was a little sick because I didn’t notice his age until after. But everything else about him I loved. Six foot two, over 200 pounds, 93 speed, 84 catch, ready to play right now. I wanted a wide receiver I could build into a true number one because I know people are going to scheme to take Brian Thomas Jr. out of games.p
pThe age threw me off though. I even went and signed Davante Adams thinking I’d let him carry the load for a year and come back to draft another young wideout. But Stribling changed all that. Not only did he prove I didn’t make a mistake drafting him, he showed he might already be better than Davante right now. He’s earned the starting job for Week 1 and I couldn’t be more excited.p
pHe hit the preseason stat caps with ease in just two games and not one ball was forced. He was just getting open over and over. He looks like the kind of guy who could go for 1,200 yards and 10 touchdowns this year if he keeps playing like that. Davante will still be a great mentor for him but Stribling made it clear he’s ready to be that guy right now.p
