A look at the Chicago Bears’ scouting of tight ends, which is split into three tiers: First Round Talent, Round 2-3 Talent, and Late Round Talent. Each position’s scouting takes into account attributes, most importantly, physicals and age second, and ddt third, along with factoring in personal preferences and who fits the scheme or mold of a Monster of the Midway.
Round 1 Talent
Oscar Delp
Kenyon Sadiq
Rounds 2-3 Talent
Eli Stowers
RJ Maryland
Matt Lauter
Late Rounds Talent (4-7)
Miles Kitselman
Michael Trigg
Terrance Carter Jr
Tanner Koziol
Hindsight
I didn’t look too deeply into tight ends and it shows because it was a terrible class and there were still five prospects I considered more than draftable. The late round options were more focused on potential fullbacks, and it just became clear quick that this was not a draft to take tight ends and I stayed away. I guess I was right about Delp going in the first thanks to beast’s cpu drafting before he got Allar to salvage. Stowers is the only one who can start on day one (if this Madden was normal, Delp will be a beast in one season). Tanner Koziol sneakily was good, too, so shoutout Dtown for snagging him in the fifth. Stay tuned for defense tomorrow, which is what I really spent my time on.
