A look at the Chicago Bears’ scouting of wide receivers, which is split into three tiers: First Round Talent, Round 2-3 Talent, and Late Round Talent. Each position’s scouting takes into account attributes, most importantly, physicals and age second, and ddt third, along with factoring in personal preferences and who fits the scheme or mold of a Monster of the Midway.

I was only ever drafting a wide receiver if I turned DJ Moore into a third-round pick, and I probably would have reached on one over a position of need for no reason, except that speed is fun. That’s what this scouting looks like. I missed some guys like Jordan Tyson and Devonte Ross because of age or whatever else, like I said, it ended up not being a position of need, but most of my early guys did go early. Obviously though, I sorted by speed and called it a day. Antonio Williams went undrafted because he was slow and I knew he’d be solid. Stay tuned for defense tomorrow, which is what I really spent my time on.
