A look at the Chicago Bears’ scouting of safeties, which is split into three tiers: First Round Talent, Rounds 2-3 Talent, and Late Round Talent. It doesn’t take skill to tell Downs is a first rounder, but more than that, I had every single safety in this draft’s true value in Madden and I used that, tweaking for age, speed, and potential dev trait. Thieneman was a slam dunk even if he comes out as just star, since I needed a long-term safety more than any other position. Beyond that, I didn’t “miss” anyone here or get anything drastically wrong because of the information I had, anyone not on the list was purposefully left off. It was disappointing to see Catalon go in the third with better options left, but honestly, this position group fell off hard and fast after Thieneman. The next best overall options were old, even if they weren’t slow, and the fast guys like Cooper weren’t particularly good or young.
