Overreactions & Reality Checks for PML

Cardinals need to sign a serviceable quarterback to get them through half the season.
Reality or Overreaction: Reality
So we seen the Broncos come out and start Kellen Mond opening day (raised eyebrow, but he won), and we also seen the Cardinals roll out Clayton Tune and proceed to be squashed by Vet and the Commanders. With your backs already against the wall in a super tough division user wise, logic says the first priority in the free agent draft is a quarterback with serviceable attributes and not a center. Or even perhaps line up a trade for a top of the line backup from another team. As one of my favorite New York Jet head coaches once said, “You play to win the game!”. Get the best lineup on that field and put your best foot forward before you lose the fan base. Just show intent out there. I’d hate to see 8 games of fly-under-the-radar with no expectations because Clayton Tune is starting. Que is a user capable of winning games with a bad roster- and with the weak schedule- the Cardinals aren’t necessarily dead to right yet even with that Evolve roster they are stuck with.

Buccaneers need to put the trade block to rest until we get a better sample size of their season
Overreaction or reality: Reality
Very early, Coach Cammy was quick to put several top Buccaneer players on the trade block whether it was their age contracts, or lack of potential. The Buccaneers are one of those teams that yes, maybe aside from quarterback, they are very well rounded and put you in a position to win games. The attention has to be put back onto what they currently have, and reenter trade negations before the trade deadline based on their current standing in the division. I’ve played several lab games with Cammy and he is more than capable of using Baker Mayfield to lead this team to a winning record. They need to stay put and see what this roster can do because we prematurely start a rebuild. I’d hate to see them not in a position to compete for the divisional crown.

The 49ers will win the NFC West Season 1
Reality
The 49ers looked pretty good in their first action of the season. CEO seems to have found another really good team that fits his play style. When we saw the sweat resistant gloves come out we should know it game time. The Rams and the Seahawks have yet to play so without any film on those 2 teams at the time of this article being written its safe to say CEO is the clear front runner of the NFC West.

Packers and Broncos are on collision course in Season 1 Super Bowl
Reality or Overreaction: Reality
The NFC still has a few games left to be played but from what I saw it looks as though the Packers are locked in and ready to roll from the jump. This team has a talented defense and it showed, however it was against the Bears, a team rumored to be in the midst of a dramatic rebuild. The NFC might have its Thanos. Lets see how they perform week 2 against the Falcons.
As for the Broncos. They dismantled the Raiders (my team) with solid defense and timely offensive plays. Coaches will need to figure out the various base aligned coverage shells and know when and where to attack post snap. This may cause confusion giving the Broncos the early edge in games. The team talent is not the best but the coaching could be enough to get them over the edge. But with film now out on the defense, will the rest of PML be able to create gameplans that attack the middle against a dangerous user?

–Overreaction- Chiefs aren’t contenders after Wk1 loss to Lions
Slow down folks, Super Bowl hangover is very real for both the reigning SB Chiefs and also HC Matigy, Rumor is that Kelce was out late hanging out with Taylor Swift and Mahomes drank too much ketchup. Mahomes threw 2 picks to the Lions D while Goff stayed clean all game. Pacheco had his way on the ground but the Lions Air Raid was too much in the end. The Chiefs and Matigy will be fine, they just need to clean up the turnovers and fix up the pass defense.
—Reality- Texans will win AFC South
Week 1 is a liar, but the Texans sure aren’t. The Texans defense brought their A game to Baltimore forcing Lamar into 5 picks, and then the backup Tyler Huntley into 2 more. While Stroud didn’t have a great game by any means, he led the Texans to a 34-13 win in the season opener. Dameon Pierce ram all over the Baltimore defense rushing for over 200 yards and a touchdown. Week two the Texans will face off against division Rival CB and the Colts.

The Vikings will win the NFC North
Reality or Overreaction: Reality
Wimmy is one of the best users in PML. He now has a roster in win now mode, but extremely old for the long run. I think he will take advantage of the old geezers he has now while they are good and make a Super Bowl run. The one thing that hurts is that he doesn’t have Dalvin Cook. If he got this team last year he would be a SERIOUS problem. Looking at the NFC as it is now and with that team have a cracked out 99 OVR Justin Jefferson, I still feel like WImmy can run through the NFC. Be on the lookout for them Vikings! After that though they all finna be old as h*** and washed.

There is a lot of pressure on the Los Angeles Chargers
Reality or Overreaction: Reality
When you are ranked a top 5 user and get the Los Angeles Chargers next Madden, there is immense pressure on you. It is interesting that JT threw all of the super bowl winners into one division. Do you think he did this based off of true user rating? Giving Matigy and Codes two powerhouse teams while DK and KingMike have franchises not nearly built as good? This speaks volumes. Codes won a Super Bowl with the Bucs but no one gave him his flowers because of the team. He now has another stacked roster…can he get his flowers now since it is a h*** division? Who knows? I just know there is a lot of pressure on Codes, and he is the right person for the job. Many will shy away from it, I think he embraces it.

The Afc North winner will win less than 7 games
Reality or Overreaction: Reality
Not to be harsh but coming into the cycle when teams were announced we all agreed this was unanimously the worst division in pml but at the end of the cycle this could go down as one of the worst divisions of all time. I can be proven wrong but through1 week my mind hasn’t changed from the gameplay I watched. I think there’s a strong chance that no coach in the north finishes over .500 for the entire cycle and that might not be that much of a hot take. Unless Goose can change as a madden player I think it’s Mali’s division to lose for the entire cycle.

The Nfc North will send 3
Reality or Overreaction: Overreaction
The North is one of the better divisions in the league and after their week 1 performances I’m sure everybody is jumping on the bandwagon but pipe down just a little. The Lions pulled off a big week 1 upset along with the Packers and Vikings winning in somewhat dominate fashion so everything is looking good BUTTT… we know who Fallen is as he can beat any coach in Pml but he’s also good for a few stinkers and to stay in contention for the 7th seed you can’t drop much. Jefe seems like he’s looking forward to season 2 already and with the other 2 coaches being hype and wimmy who are almost locks for season 1 almost every cycle, Fallen has to be the odd man out.
