What are your thoughts about the Chargers going into this week?
It's a tough out-of-conference game early in the season against a good coach. But this is the Premier Madden League. This s*** is tough week in and week out. No cupcakes, no give me's. Everyone in this league is fighting for one thing and that's themselves. We expect the best from Los Angeles this week. They better do the same.
Can you summarize what it was like playing against the Eagles last week?
The offense was phenomenal. Ty Chandler ran all over an impressive Philly front and Kirk had some success through the air. Kirk forced a couple mistakes that he definitely will need to work on, but if we score 51 points every week, we're going to win a lot of games. For the defense, besides a Lewis Cine pick and the overall containment of Jalen Hurts, we struggled severely. We can't give up 43 points and expect to win a lot of games. So burn the tape, bury it in the backyard, whatever you got to do to move on. We're 2-0, it's time to go hit Codes in the mouth.
What is the status of T.J. Hockenson and when is he set to return?
THock is a different animal. He has an upper arm fracture on a catch in Sunday's game. He played a full series after the catch before leaving the game and going with Doctors to the locker room. After an initial x-ray, he was ruled out for the game and we're told he'll be out for the next month. He's been in a sling and will be going through all the necessary PT that he needs to before he's cleared for live snaps. Expect Josh Oliver and Johnny Mundt to fill any 12 personnel roles that we may have for the next couple of weeks.
