Transcript: Panthers Head Coach Press Conference

How does the loss this week prepare you for the next game?

It's a tough pill to swallow, no doubt. The Vikings are a formidable team, and they showed it on the field. We had some bright spots, but we also had areas where we clearly need to improve. It's a learning experience for us, and we'll take these lessons into our preparation for the next game. We have a lot of talent on this team, from Bryce Young at QB to Derrick Brown on the defensive line, and we're going to make sure we put them in the best positions to succeed moving forward.

Can you talk about the development of Bryce Young so far?

The development of Bryce Young has been one of the most encouraging aspects of our season so far. Bryce came into the league with a lot of expectations, and he's shown why he was so highly touted. He's not just a talented quarterback; he's a student of the game. His work ethic is second to none, and that's evident in how quickly he's adapted to the speed and complexity of the Premier Madden League.

From a technical standpoint, Bryce has made significant strides in his pocket presence and decision-making. He's learning to read defenses better, go through his progressions, and make smart throws. He's also shown the ability to extend plays with his legs, which adds another dimension to our offense.

What's even more impressive is his leadership. Despite being one of the younger players on the team, he's already commanding the huddle and earning the respect of his teammates. That's something you can't teach.

Of course, there are areas where he can improve, and he's the first to acknowledge that. But the progress he's made from Week 1 to now is a testament to his talent, his work ethic, and the coaching staff's ability to develop young players.

We're excited about Bryce's future and believe he has the potential to be a cornerstone player for this franchise for years to come.

How has Joe Flacco’s experience in the league helped the team so far?

Adding Joe Flacco to our quarterback room has been invaluable for the development of our team, especially for Bryce Young. Joe brings a wealth of experience to the table, having been in the league for over a decade and even winning a Super Bowl. His understanding of the game, both from a technical and mental standpoint, has been a tremendous asset.

Joe has been instrumental in helping Bryce adapt to the league. Whether it's breaking down film, discussing defensive schemes, or offering tips on how to handle the pressures of being a starting quarterback in this league, Joe's insights have been incredibly helpful. He's essentially serving as another coach on the field and in the meeting rooms.

And it's not just Bryce who's benefiting. Andy Dalton, another seasoned veteran, and Joe have been working well together to create an environment where everyone is learning and improving. The two of them have been great role models for Bryce, showing him what it takes to succeed at the highest level.

Having a player like Joe Flacco, with his experience and leadership, has been a game-changer for us. It's one of those intangible factors that doesn't show up in the stat sheet but makes a significant impact on the team's overall performance and development.

We're fortunate to have him as part of our organization, and we're excited about the positive influence he's having on our young quarterback and the team as a whole.
