Giants Week 5 Injury Report & Focus Players

After an exciting round of week four games, we are in week 5. In simming through the week 5 practice, the Giants still have a number of injuries. Last week was possibly their worst injury wise. Each week we will go over the injury report and practice focus players before the game and update the depth chart at that position.

Focus Players:

HB Saquon Barkley: Barkey was trained in order to get him XP to go into the 95 threshold. The Giants have had success when running the football, but their issue continues to be Jones and is errant throws. Teams know this, so they are stacking the box which causes issues gaining experience for Barkely.

DT Alim McNeil: He was brought in in the Leonard Williams trade to be a part of this defense for the long haul. He is close to an upgrade that will go a long way. He is the second defensive tackle on this team, but hasn’t emerged in the way that Coach Burn was hoping for just yet.

RE Boogie Basham: Basham was able to get the upgrade that he needed and got a good one, increasing his finesse moves by 2. He hasn’t done much in terms of sacking the quarterback so hopefully this helps out and gives him the boost he needs.

LT Andrew Thomas 92 OVR 3 weeks (Abdominal Tear)

Thomas just gained superstar abilities and got hurt for multiple weeks in the same game. THis is a huge blow to an offensive line that has been dealing with multiple injuries all season.

LOLB Mark Ingram 78 OVR – 1 week (Dislocated Wrist)

Ingram was brought in as a replacement for Leonard Williams and hasn’t done anything as of yet. He has gotten hurt in every week that he has been on the team. He is a useful player so the Giants want him on the field. Hopefully next week he will not get hurt and make an impact.

LG Justin Pugh 75 OVR – 3 weeks (Broken Ribs)

The third starting offensive lineman to go down is Pugh. He isn’t the greatest player, but he was a huge upgrade over the sub 70 overall lineman the Giants have as backups. With three starting lineman out for at least 3 weeks, the Giants will need to do something or games will get ugly fast.

RT Evan Neal 73 Overall – 2 weeks (Abdominal Tear)

Neal is still hurt and will be out for another game. He will be back before Thomas and Pugh so that will be a little bit of a boost for the Commanders game.
.

CB Aaron Robinson 71 OVR – 0 weeks IR (Knee Cartilage Tear)

Unfortunately Robinson can not come off of IR so he won’t be back until at least week 8. Hopefully he can play this season, but if not, the Giants will see his development halted for the entire season.

MLB Jarrad Davis 70 OVR – 25 weeks IR (Complete MCL Tear)

He was a backup piece and will not be with the Giants next season when he heals from his injury. No change from week 1.

TE Tommy Sweeny 64 OVR – 2 weeks IR (Ruptured Disk)

He was a backup piece and will not be with the Giants next season when he heals from his injury as he will stay on IR. No change from week 1.

C J.C Hassenauer 62 OVR – 20 weeks IR (Torn Tricep)

He was a backup piece and will not be with the Giants next season when he heals from his injury. No change from week 1.

TE Chris Myarick 59 OVR – 15 weeks IR (Broken Hand)

He was a backup piece and will not be with the Giants next season when he heals from his injury. No change from week 1.
