PML Around The Horn Companion Article

PML Around The Horn made its debut this week hosted and moderated by JC with the debaters being Mali, Z, Fallen, and Drama. This was a wild week six and a perfect place to start our new series that lets users come on and debate each other in a respectful and entertaining setting.

The episode started with introductions and then we headed to our first topic, the CPU roughing the kicker in Nef’s game and how our guests viewed that. HD playing a game with 10 superstars while being a commissioner was next to be discussed and our guests that were commishes offered great insight. We then turned to look at the Arizona Cardinals being the last team without a win where it was debated if this was tanking, a slow start, or just a streak of unlucky losses put together. On the other side of things, we moved to the last undefeated teams in PML, both from Los Angeles, the Chargers and the Rams. Our guests discussed why they think these are the last teams left without a loss and if that will continue for the season, postseason, and cycle. This is where we made our jump into the team-building controversial storylines of the week. First, our guests debated the Bucs having an incomplete roster and if it was their fault or PML’s strict rules and the trade committee not allowing him to fix his issue and avoid the fines. Then, we moved to the Cowboys buying Tyron Smith off the NTL for 100 points while he seemingly wouldn’t get much value in trading him. The guests discussed the potential upsides, downsides, and schemes that may be floating around this decision. Next, we moved to the Saints use of projecting the Broncos first round pick in a trade instead of inputting the pick as is in Madden. Was this scummy or smart, is this the way it should be or not? Our guests frequently agreed that “if you aren’t cheating, you aren’t trying”. Finally, in a final round worth double points, our guests discussed the overall state of the trade committee. Everyone made very good points and made this a successful debut episode for PML Around The Horn. Unfortunately, Drama fell asleep and missed his window on the last round and tied in last place with Fallen with 14 points. Que came in 3rd with 17 points, Mali came in second with 21 points, and Z won with 22 points. Z was the only guest to not make a point over the course of the show that resulted in negative points and that ended up being the difference.

Once again, thanks to our guests for coming on for the debut and making strong, intellectual points while being respectful. If you haven’t had a chance to listen, you can catch the debut at the link below. Stay to the end to see the graphics that should be added in a future episode.
