Giants Week 9 Injury Report & Focus Players

After an exciting round of week eight games, we are in week 9. In simming through the week 9 practice, the Giants are getting healthier but still have a number of injuries. Each week we will go over the injury report and practice focus players before the game and update the depth chart at that position.

Focus Players:

HB Saquon Barkley: Barkley finally got to 95 overall and gained his new ability. He was hoping to gain the Joystick ability but gained the Tank ability instead. This will allow him to break almost any hit stick tackle on him. Most players go for conservative tackles in this madden but the extra security with a tank should allow Barkley to not be caught off guard when he is juking everyone out on the field.

WR Jalin Hyatt: Hyatt is still leading the team in yards and receptions and got the upgrade that he sorely needed. He gained + 1 spectacular catch, + 2 catching, and +2 deep route running. He will need these attributes in order to continue his dominance for the rest of the season.

CB Deonte Banks: Banks is close to getting his upgrade that he needs in order to continue being the number one corner on this defense. The pass defense has been lacking and maybe a speed upgrade for him is what is needed to help.

DT Daquon Jones 76 OVR – 3 weeks (Torn Labrum)

Jones was picked up to back up Dexter Lawrence. He was a good one two punch in the run stuffing game and will be missed as it leaves a bit of a hole in the middle on passing downs if the opponent runs the ball.

CB Aaron Robinson 71 OVR – 0 weeks IR (Knee Cartilage Tear)

Robinson is still on the IR list due to the Giants picking up a few veteran corners the past two weeks. At this point he will stay here and just be developed through attribute requests in order for him to start next season.

MLB Jarrad Davis 70 OVR – 21 weeks IR (Complete MCL Tear)

He was a backup piece and will not be with the Giants next season when he heals from his injury. No change from week 1.

TE Tommy Sweeny 64 OVR – 0 weeks IR (Ruptured Disk)

He was a backup piece and will not be with the Giants next season when he heals from his injury as he will stay on IR. No change from week 1. He will stay on IR for the rest of the season.

C J.C Hassenauer 62 OVR – 16 weeks IR (Torn Tricep)

He was a backup piece and will not be with the Giants next season when he heals from his injury. No change from week 1.

TE Chris Myarick 59 OVR – 11 weeks IR (Broken Hand)

He was a backup piece and will not be with the Giants next season when he heals from his injury. No change from week 1.
