Transcript: Panthers Head Coach Press Conference

How does the loss this week prepare you for the next game?

Look, nobody likes to lose, especially in a divisional game that had playoff implications. But every loss is a lesson. We've identified areas where we need to improve, especially our run defense. We'll be going back to the drawing board to prepare for the Saints, who have a potent offense. We beat them earlier this season, and we'll be looking to do it again, but we know it won't be easy.

What is the status of Bryce Young and when is he set to return?

Bryce is making good progress in his recovery. We're optimistic that he might be available for Week 18. However, we're not going to rush him back. His long-term health is our primary concern, so we'll make that call closer to the game.

What were some of the contributing factors to the loss this week?

Well, first and foremost, we got shredded in run defense. That's unacceptable and something we're going to address. Tyree had a decent game, but those two interceptions hurt us. We also had some missed opportunities down the field. It's a team sport, and we win and lose as a team. We have to be better on both sides of the ball.

Can you speak to the overall team health?

We've had our share of injuries this season, like any other team. But we're getting healthier. Bryce is on his way back, and we have some young guys stepping up in the absence of veterans. We're monitoring everyone closely to ensure they're at their best for the remainder of the season.
