The team is on quite a win streak currently, can you explain the preparation the team has gone through this season so far in order to achieve this amount of success?
Yeah, this win streak has been amazing and highlighted where we succeed and how we can battle adversity. It's proven we are a contender and that 3-3 was just us figuring things out. First year in a new system with new schemes, a new quarterback, and some big trades that shook things up so we needed some time to get up to speed and we've taken off since.
What does it mean to you or the team to have such a great winning record at home this season?
It feels good. Home Field advantage is real and the fans of New Orleans bring it, so to deliver with wins and give them a payoff is special, man. It shows we are more than a football organization and we are so thankful to all the fans.
Did you scout Bryce Young before the draft? If so, what stood out about him?
Yes, I didn't love this QB draft at all and I did have CJ Stroud as my QB1 but I did see Bryce as a close 2 and I thought he was more ready for the pros. I think Bryce does more good than bad but Stroud's ceiling is higher in my opinion.
Can you describe kind of the energy or the mood and the vibe in the building now coming in the home stretch?
The 7 game win streak has felt great but we still have our eyes on the real prize. Energy is high but focused on continuing this push.
Your team is one of the oldest teams in the league in terms of average age. How do you feel about the future of this team while not having as many young players as other teams? Do you think having an older team has its benefits?
I don't like being old but Demario Davis has been special leading this defense. He's in the conversation for best linebacker in the league and rightfully so even at age 34. We really hope he chooses to come back and play one more season.
