Can you talk about the development of Maason Smith so far?
Maason is better than we expected him to be. We haven't had an interior force like this since we got to Seattle, and we hope to turn him into a defensive stalwart that shuts down the run while also being able to rush the passer with efficiency.
Can you talk about what it’s like to prepare to go against a player like Emari Demercado?
Demercado is one of those guys that can hurt you at any given second. We saw him terrorize the league last year en route to winning award after award. He's even better this year, and if we aren't prepared, this is a game we can easily lose.
Can you speak to the overall team health?
The team is relatively health right now (God-willing), and we hope to keep it that way. We have more depth this year than we did last year, especially at the RB position, and we hope that that will allow us to succeed if anything happens negatively.
