How does the loss this week prepare you for the next game?
Every loss is an opportunity to learn and grow. We take a hard look at the film, identify where we fell short, and use that as fuel to prepare for the next game. Mentally, it's important to turn the page. We acknowledge the loss, learn from it, and then shift our focus to Chicago. It's about resilience and maintaining a positive, forward-looking mindset.
What were some of the contributing factors to the loss this week?
We had some issues with execution. Whether it was missed tackles, dropped passes, or misreads, these small mistakes added up. In the NFL, games are often decided by a few key plays, and our execution wasn't at the level it needs to be. You also gotta give credit where it's due. New England played an excellent game. They capitalized on our mistakes and executed their game plan flawlessly.
Did you scout Leonard Taylor before the draft? If so, what stood out about him?
I'm part of the decision-making process when it comes to scouting and drafting, but there's a ton of factors that go into those decisions. Regarding Taylor, it's not that nothing stood out about him. Every player in the draft has their strengths and potential. However, quarterback wasn't identified as a need based on our current roster and strategy.
