What is the status of Dalvin Tomlinson and when is he set to return?
Tomlinson is still working back to health. We don't expect him to be fully available for another couple weeks, but he is working hard on his rehab and already ahead of schedule. In the meantime, it's opened the door for rookie Justin Rogers to get more playtime and that'll be valuable for his development as the season progresses. We look forward to get Dalvin back in the lineup when he is at full health.
How do you rank the biggest changes to this team over the off-season by importance? What do you think were the team's best moves? Was there anything you wish you would have done that didn't get to do?
Due to our unfortunate cap situation, we weren't able to make many moves this year. The biggest mistake, or at least thing we wish we could get back, is franchise tagging Delpit. He was a big loss for our franchise and we wish we were in the situation to be able to pay him the money he deserved. We are happy with the players we acquired in the draft, Smoke Harris will be a playmaker on this team for seasons to come. Javon Bullard will start at safety for many years and he is a dynamic defensive weapon. We got multiple rookie edge rushers and a rookie TE we are excited about. And Rogers will help to anchor our interior defensive line.
Can you speak to the overall team health?
Our team is tremendously healthy, all things considered, at this point of the season. We are excited about the depth we've got acquired and developed around our team, so we are ready to have the next man up mentality if it is required. Right now, we are ecstatic that our team has only lost 2 starters during training camp and preseason, and both of those are minor injuries. I'll continue to take a proactive approach toward practices to make sure our team is as healthy as can be come Sundays. We have a veteran squad so I'm confident we can be ready to play on game day without killing ourselves in practice throughout the week.
