Can you talk about the development of Smael Mondon Jr so far?
We were shocked and saddened to see a 5-star linebacker out of Georgia get normal development but he has still been a beast for us. His blazing speed has led him to fight right in for Demario Davis and he's already up 3 overall with an upgrade waiting in the wings for when his 20 attribute upgrades go through. He has 1.5 sacks, 5 tackles for loss, and a forced fumble as well as leading the league in solo tackles so far. He is who we thought he;d be.
Can you talk about what it’s like to prepare to go against a player like Minkah Fitzpatrick?
He completely takes away the deep passing game with his ability to roam and attack the ball. It's a special talent that slows down offenses and makes life in the redzone very difficult.
How much of a problem is Cameron Heyward on the defensive line?
We've seen him wreck games consistently as he won defensive player of the year in the AFC last year but our offensive line took care of him. He got through for one tackle for loss but overall our rushing game had a tremendous day and although we were sacked twice, Heyward didn't get in to be apart of them. He's a problem, but he wasn't for us.
What are your thoughts about the Steelers just in general as a team?
Love the way they play defense, but wish they would run the ball more on offense. Their pass game is good but mixing in more frequent runs would definitely help the Steelers compete more.
