What were the keys to the team’s victory this week?
The run game. Kendre Miller played his first game of the season after being injured in preseason and absolutely went off. The Steelers did pretty solid against our pass attack but 298 rush yards and 3 rush touchdowns propelled us to victory.
What is the status of Payton Turner and when is he set to return?
He's out week 4 and then he's back. He's in a contract year so it'll be good to see him and if he can earn that money from us after we declined his 5th year option. He won't start but he will rotate in at any position on the defensive line. Cam Jordan is probably going to retire which would help us decide to keep Turner as a great depth piece with his size and skill.
Did you scout TJ Tampa before the draft? If so, what stood out about him?
Yes, but we quickly moved off of him for his lack of speed and skill. Tampa is slower and shorter than Carlies who we took instead. Tampa just doesn't fit in today's high powered PML, let alone in a division where we see Jaylen Waddle and Trey Palmer. He unfortunately just had no place on our team.
