Patriots Season 1 Trades Recap

pPatriots Trade: Christian Barmore, and a 6th round pick I think
Patriots Receive: Round 2 Pick 20, Barryn Sorrell
Barmore was traded and replaced by an edge rusher. Sorrell came out the box as a 71 overall star dev defensive end, and is already up to a 76 overall. Sorrell is an all around good end with 81 block shed, 80 finesse move, and 72 power move which will be going up soon. Sorrell has 1.5 sacks this season, all coming in the most recent game against the 49ers. Barmore is currently a 84 overall with 87 block shed, 85 finesse move and 82 power move. The MyMadden stat sheet records Barmore with only 2 tackles and 0 sacks. Barmore is currently in the last year of his contract and is looking for a 2 year deal worth 14 million per year. Trade calculator values Barmore at 591.8 and Sorrell at 788.4.

Patriots Trade: CB Marcus Jones
Patriots Receive: Round 2 Pick 24, QB Riley Leonard
Jones was traded due to a surplus of talent in the New England secondary. Leonard came out of the draft as a 69 overall normal dev QB, but with solid speed at 87, and ideal sense of pressure. Leonard’s main draw back was his slow throw animation, but that has not hampered him so far. Leonard has thrown for 3 TDs in all 5 of his starts with a TD-INT ratio of 15-3. Leonard definitely looks like he could be the QB of the future in New England. Marcus Jones is now a 84 overall CB with 95 speed. Jones has 21 tackles 2 INT and 1 FF on the year, and I believe that he is making an impact in the return game now for the Steelers. The trade calculator values Leonard at 913.8 and Jones at 630.8.

Patriots Trade SS Jabrill Peppers
Patriots Receive: Round 2 Pick 23 TE Bryson Nesbit
Nesbit is definitely a raw prospect coming out, but had all the tools we wanted from the tight end position. He has the speed to break away from linebackers, but also has the strength to block them. He came out of the draft at a 64 overall and is now a 67. In 7 games Nesbit has 367 yards and 5 touchdowns, with almost half of his production coming in week 1. Peppers has 3 INT 12 tackles and 1 FF in the sublb position in Green Bay. The trade calculator values Nesbit at 347.2 and Peppers at 421.2.

Patriots Trade LOLB Josh Uche
Patriots Receive Round 3 Pick 5 Tyrone Broden, Round 3 Pick 17 Kris Jenkins
The Patriots traded Uche for 2 3rd round picks who both are very raw but still exciting prospects. Broden is 6’7″ with 95 speed, and Kris Jenkins is a good pass rushing DT with solid speed and strength. Both are on the older side as prospects with Broden being 23 and Jenkins 22. Jenkins has 9 tackles, 2.5 sacks and 1 FF in 7 games, and Broden has 18 catches for 242 yards and 2 TDs. Broden is now a 69 overall, and Jenkins is a 74. Uche has taken a big leap since landing in Arizona and is now a superstar, 88 overall. Uche is now on a 6 year 120 million dollar contract. This season Uche has 6 tackles, 1 forced fumble, and 1 interception and is currently injured. Broden and Jenkins combined value is 754.2 and Uche’s value is 1192.2. p
