Can you talk about the development of Ethan Burke so far?
We absolutely love what Ethan has brought to our roster. In week 3, he had 3 sacks and flashed his potential as the edge rusher of the future. The retainment of Uchenna Nwosu allows us to bring him along slowly, and we hope that he will be ready to contribute in a BIG way by the end of the season.
Over your career, what makes a team better at not turning the ball over as the season goes along? What kind of things you need to emphasize? How much of it is coaching? How much of it is a mental part? Physical part?
A team that's confident in their scheme and able to maintain their focus as game situations get increasingly stressful. In a league as strong as this one, all it takes is one mistake for the game to spiral out of control. We went through many downs last season, before finally righting the ship late. We have to be better if we want to accomplish our goals.
Are you seeing the speed of the game starting to slow down for some of the rookies?
It will be hard to get a true grasp of where our rookies are until we see them against 1s. Preseason is a great time to show potential, but until you line up against the best of the best, we can't know what you're truly made of.
