What were the keys to the team’s victory this week?
Protecting the ball and winning the turnovers battle. We went out an executed the game plan by forcing the Bengals into 4 turnovers while limiting ourselves to just one. We were also very reliant on the ground attack to compliment the overall gameplan.
Can you talk about the development of Travis Hunter so far?
Hunter has come up big for us so far in the season. Week 1 he could be labeled a hero of sorts as his kickoff return in the 4th put life back into a team that blew a 3 score lead against the Bears. The following week he had a late interception against Joe Burrow that slammed the door shut on their comeback attempt. Rookie looks more like a seasoned vet out there.
Can you talk about what it’s like to prepare to go against a player like Joe Burrow?
Joe Burrow leaves no margin for error when it comes to zone assignments and man coverage as his accuracy is amongst the best in the league. We knew if we could keep forcing him to throw, the volume would ultimately lead to some turnovers.
