Back with another edition of ‘PML Meets NBA All Stars’ this time with an edition in the AFC South. Where in this series we see a mix of high profile names, and not so high profile names.

DLloyd – Tennessee Titans: Dirk Nowitzki
I said that this series was going to based off comparing PML users to modern day stars in the NBA, only active players. This is an exception though. I don’t think I could find a better comparison than Dirk Nowitzki for DLloyd. Both have one championship to their name, and when it was all said and done for Dirk he went down to be considered one of, if not the best forwards in the history of the sport. Which in my eyes can be the same for DLloyd as from what I’ve been told and heard, in previous Maddens when he was in his prime he was arguably the best coach in the league. With his Superbowl ring, alongside an undefeated season where he ultimately came short in the championship game. Ultimately aside from the one championship that leads to my comparison for DLloyd is, that both play(ed) past their prime. DLloyd couldn’t care less about his wins or losses now, he’s here because of the community, similar to Dirk who played an extended period after falling out of his prime because of his love for the game. Most importantly, the two of them are the exact same with personality. Being humble, respectful, humorful, etc. So, DLloyd, thank you for being our Dirk.
Keraun – Houston Texans: Kawhi Leonard
Kawhi and Keraun have a few things in common. Both have a habit of playing great defense, and being known for it. Keraun this season is ranking inside the top ten of every defensive category, and playing some of his best ball this cycle as he sits 6-2 and top of his division at the moment. When Kawhi is playing hard and locked in, he’s without a doubt five player in the league. Similar to Keraun, who when he’s locked in and cares to log on the game, can come in and beat any coach. We saw last season, Keraun took his foot off the gas and laid back a bit similar to how Kawhi in previous seasons would sit and rest during back to back nights, random games, etc and conserve until the playoffs. Now this season in real life, and in PML both Keraun and Kawhi are playing their best basketball / football in recent memory and both could easily end this season with a championship.
Water – Jacksonville Jaguars: Chet Holmgren
Chet and Water both received a lot of hype coming into the league, as Water was hyped by multiple users such as DK and Keraun upon taking over the Jaguars and so far has lived up to his potential. Being one of the newest editions to the league, while being one of the best up and coming coaches that league has to offer. Sitting at 5-4, and second in his division behind the Texans. Water came off on a hot start, and is going through a small slump – as any rookies do. But I have no doubts, that within the coming seasons and cycles if he sticks around he will be one of the best users for the league. Unlike his fellow rookie coach S1LENT, one has lived up to the potential and one hasn’t.
CB – Indianapolis Colts: Khris Middleton
This comparison is single handedly based off consistency. One night, Khris Middleton can suit up for the Bucks and drop 30 points and a game winner, all while shooting on 14/17 then the next came he’ll suit up and come out shooting 4/20 and drop 8 points in a win or loss. CB is similar in my instance. He shows many flashes of being at his best and having that ‘dog’ in him and others where he seems to be lost. Last season, we saw upsets of him beating Superbowl Champ SPDot. We’ve seen plenty of upsets by CB, and plenty of good performances since he got into the PML. Moments where he plays good and playoff-esque football and then other times where he doesn’t do that. Khris Middleton forces himself into difficult shots or situations and I feel as if that is the same for CB where throughout a game, he’ll force the bad pass or put himself in a hole deep and be screwed from there.
That wraps up the AFC South version of PML Meets NBA All Stars. Our next division will be the AFC East, as we round out the AFC conference and move onto the NFC!
