PML’s 12 Styles of Offense…refer to the cover image for each type of offense and what it means
AFC West:
Matigy – Executor
Reason: Matigy has his style of play that many call basic and vanilla, yet it consistently results in winning football. He sticks to his guns whether it’s executing an offense with a young Jayden Daniels or the great Patrick Mahomes.
Codes – Find A Way
Reason: When you watch Codes sometimes you wonder…what is bro cooking up? He will constantly hot route a play into something totally new and make it happen somehow.
DK – Clock Manager Elite
Reason: DK is always playing the clock. When he’s ahead, you can watch the time slowly drip down. And when he falls behind, you better be ready for the hurry up. DK showed his clock management skills in the Super Bowl last cycle when he played keep away from Hypemike to win the game on a walk off field goal.
Kingmike – Anti-Meta
Reason: Leave it to Uncle Mike to use his vast years of experience to dig out some offensive concepts that have been left to die in the last decade. And he’ll make it work too.
AFC South:
Keuran – Executor
Reason: Ke’s playbook may not be as deep as others, but it doesn’t have to be. He has his system that he knows how to shred your defense with. We saw it last cycle with Lamar Jackson, now we’re seeing it with the high-low duo of Malik Benson and Brock Bowers.
Dlloyd – Anti-Meta
Reason: All I have to say is “Run N Shoot.” Dlloyd can make just about any offensive scheme work…a challenge he tries to take on consistently not just throughout a cycle, but throughout a season.
Water – Find A Way
Reason: A rookie head coach means this could be wrong. From what I see, there’s nothing pretty about Water’s game, but there’s a lot to admire he dissects defenses.
CB – Coach Suggestions
Reason: This doesn’t mean he actually does Ask Madden all game. But sometimes you feel like he is with his seemingly random offensive flow. Sometimes it’s genius, and other times you feel like he’s playing himself.
AFC North:
KMFO – Surgeon
Reason: I’d say KMFO is the prototype for Surgeon, he has his offensive scheme and knows how to execute against any coverage and knows his read progressions like the back of his hand.
Curt – Big Play
Reason: Curt has always been a go big or go home kind of offensive playcaller. He’ll take shots for his guys like Pickens and even Calvin little man Austin if you dare give him a window deep downfield.
S1lent – Freestyler
Reason: A newcomer into PML means this could be totally wrong. But from what we’ve seen this man just freestyles his way into touchdowns and also a lot of INTs.
Arod – Copycat
Reason: If there’s something that works in the new Madden, you can count on Arod to try to run it himself. This isn’t a bad thing by any means. Unfortunately for Arod, it’s the execution that he currently lacks at times.
AFC East:
Dot – Surgeon
Reason: They call the man Dot for a reason. He always has a way of precision passing through the slightest gaps in your zone or man coverage.
Greeny – Ground & Pound
Reason: Whether it’s Dalvin Cook, Israel Abanikanda, or anyone else Greeny will always go to the ground game first and foremost and methodically move his way downfield.
Deebo – Ground & Pound
Reason: Since joining PML Deebo has definitely earned the reputation of a great runner. As he would say, “I’m just playing hat on hat.”
Beast – Freestyler
Reason: When you watch Beast you feel when he’s supposed to zig, he zags. You never know when Josh Allen is gonna tee one off to the defense or slice and dice your defense.
