PML’s 12 Styles of Offense: NFC

Refer to the cover article for what each style of offense is. Now with that done, let’s crack down the NFC!

NFC West:

Zstar – Anti-Meta

Reason: I really wanted to give Z the Surgeon tag for obvious reasons. But I’d say Z has always been about running whatever offense he wants to, and it’s usually completely different from what the Meta is every year. He plays his way and rides it to over .500 records every season.

CEO – Executor

Reason: We all know CEO has his offensive system that has been very consistent over the years. It doesn’t matter who he has on his team, he’ll run Deebo Samuel the same way he’ll run Kaden Prather.

Que – Ground and Pound

Reason: Year in and year out Que has been one of the best runners in PML. Turning a sub 60 OVR Emari Demarcate into a premier RB this cycle may be his greatest feat of running yet.

Cook – Scum Artist

Reason: Did you see how I beat Hypemike in the playoffs last year? This is the perfect tag!

NFC South:

JC – Coach Suggestions

Reason: JC is the kind of player that doesn’t exactly have a gameplay going into a game, but lets the game pace dictate his gameplay. And it’s a strength as he can find ways to win shootouts and low scoring battles alike by mixing up his play calling in ways that truly make you feel like Ask Madden is in All Madden mode.

Nef – Executor

Reason: Nef will run a specific scheme that he will follow word for word, bar for bar. While he is the executor, the execution itself can falter at times. Nonetheless, he will not go away from his offensive philosophy.

JT – Ground & Pound

Reason: JT is traditionally the kind of coach who lets the ground game dictate the pace of the game. He’ll happily go on a 13 play drive if you let him run for 4 or 5 yards a carry, and dare you to load the box to make him pass the ball.

Cammy – Surgeon

Reason: He’s obviously not on the level of KMFO and Dot, but Cammy is a lethal passer of the pigskin. He can consistently make household names of offensive players that would be afterthoughts for many.

NFC North:

Hypemike – Clock Manager Elite

Reason: From the opening kickoff, Hype is already trying to manage the game. He is as good as any coach at going in Park The Bus mode once he has a lead, and will consistently try to shorten a half and try to end the game in his offensive control.

Fallen – Route Exploiter

Reason: Before anyone overreacts, this is not a knock on a player. Running what works is smart, prior to contrary belief from the peanut gallery. And Fallen will always run what works, and force you to adapt to his game.

Wimmy – Freestyler

Reason: Wimmy might be the ultimate Freestyler in PML. When you watch his perspective, you can see him formulating a gameplan the fly. While it makes him unpredictable, sometimes he can be too unpredictable for his own good.

Jefe – Route Exploiter

Reason: You know what you’re getting going into a Jefe game. Crossers and Corners are coming whether you like them or not. And Jefe has a knack for mixing it up enough to keep you on your toes. Unfortunately this style results has been prone to getting his players suspended.

NFC East:

Drama – Find A Way

Reason: I think this fits Drama like a glove. Everyone always questions the design of his offense and how it works. But he does make it work no matter the overalls of the players and the size of their shoulder pads on the field.

Burn – Big Play

Reason: No one goes Big Play hunting more than Burn…because that’s seemingly all he’s doing. He didn’t trade for Jamison Williams to slow down the pace of his offense. Unfortunately this also leads to high INT numbers for his QB of the season.

Miles – Coach Suggestions

Reason: Once again, this doesn’t mean he’s just Asking Madden. But he is flipping from play to play, formation to formation like a wild man. Credit to him, his offense is cooking and is not really the problem in DC.

HD – Freestyler

Reason: Who loves to freestyle on offense more than HD? He has a true “Load Up And Let It Fly” mentality. Even if his defense is bending over backward, you won’t blow out HD because he’s just casually cooking up dots on the other end.

Final Count:

Freestylers – HD, Wimmy, Beast, S1lent

Clock Manager Elite – DK, Hypemike

Route Exploiter – Fallen, Jefe

Ground & Pound – Que, Greeny, JT, Deebo

Executor – Matigy, CEO, Nef, Keuran

Anti-Meta – Dlloyd, KingMike, ZStar

Coach Suggestions – CB, Miles, JC

Scum Artist – Cook

Copycat – Arod

Surgeon – KMFO, SpDot, Cammy
