29. Titans: CJ Johnson, Wide Receiver, East Carolina The Titans add to a position of strength here and add another talented wide out. CJ is a big bodied wideout who high points the ball well, and attacks defenders during his routes. He is a raw prospect but oozes potential and athleticism.
30. Buccaneers: Michael Mayer, Tight End, Notre Dame. The Bucs are coming off a 16-0 regular season and will be losing some key players this offseason. They could use a safety, but we have them addressing that need later on. Here they go best player available and add to a talented tight end core. Mayer can be looked at as a wide receiver who lines up at tight end. His hands are that good as he comes down with 50-50 balls regularly. He will need to continue to work on his blocking but he will make an instant impact on third downs.
31. Vikings: Tomari Cox, Right End, North Carolina. One thing stays consistent in football, and it’s that teams who are stout on the lines have massive successes. The Vikings add to a already incredible front 7. Cox starter 12 games as a true freshman and has more starts then any defender in the draft. He will be able to hold the line and stuff the run well. He still needs improvement in his pass rushing abilities but with the talent around him it should open things up for him. He can play at defensive tackle or either end position, this flexibility is what pushes him into the backend of round one.
32. Falcons: Desmond Demas, Wide Receiver, A&M The Falcons round out their busy round one while selecting the eventual Julio Jones replacement. Demas is a big bodied receiver who is as gifted as any at the position. He is an explosive fast twitch athlete who won Texas 4a championship for long jump in high school. He has great top end speed and will be able to break away in the open field. He will be able to learn from the best as he looks to improve his route running.p
