How valuable is the self-scouting process that you go through during the Bye Week? There's the physical piece, but also that component, as well.
Self scouting is a critical part of our offseason and preseason. You have to know your own tendencies better than your opponent does or else you're bound to run into traps and disguises as a team aims to take away what you rely on the most.
Are you seeing the speed of the game starting to slow down for some of the rookies?
Yeah we are, the preseason games definitely helped. We were very happy as a staff with what we saw from our rookie son the field. We played them against starters and backups in all 3 games and they held their own.
The defense is playing really well right now. What do you think are biggest contributing factors to that?
Our defense has played tremendously this preseason and I think our front 4 is the biggest reason why. We have been recking havoc on the line of scrimmage and that's really relieved the pressure on the secondary to both make open field tackles in the run game and also cover for extended time in the passing game.
