Heading into this week's game against the Jets, it was important for us to protect the football. Kyle McCord is rough around the edges and struggles to get the ball out when throwing the deep ball. We wanted to hit specifically on the short to intermediate routes and stay out of third and long situations.

Nico's development has been halted indefinitely due to his injury that will have him sidelined for 16 weeks. His excellent rookie season came to an end last week against the Falcons.
What is the status of Nico Iamaleava and when is he set to return?
Nico recently had surgery and that went well. However, he is not expected to return to action until preseason of next season. We are not going to rush him back sooner. He is our QB of the future and he will get all the time to heal that is needed.
