Can you summarize what it was like playing against the Cardinals last week?
It's always a good time playing Coach Que and the Cardinals. However, we are absolutely disappointed at the result, citing several coverage call mistakes that put our players in bad positions and ultimately cost us the game. We are very confident in being able to beat anyone if we bring out A game, and that cannot just be on offense, we must play a full 40 minutes of football. The coaching staff was extremely happy with the productivity from our running game, and will look to continue that moving forward.
What stands out about your opponent's defense?
My opponent has been great a shooting gaps in the run game since he first entered the league. If we want to have success we will have to find ways to move the ball on the ground while limiting turnovers. We believe ourselves to have three capable running backs and we fully plan to use them early and often. We will also want to be weary of his user linebacker in the passing game as he is great at baiting seemingly easy throws.
How is the team’s morale as you approach the game against the Steelers?
The team is in a good spot this week, despite a tough loss to the Cardinals. As a coaching staff, we have taken responsibility for our poor playcalling and seek to be better this week. Putting players in the right spots will go a long way to building and sustaining long-term success as an organization.
