Transcript: Bengals Head Coach Press Conference

What were the keys to the team’s victory this week?

Play to our teams strengths. Defense did a great job keeping Jalen Hurts in the pocket and forced him to make the right reads. Defense made it a tough day for Hurts as he threw for 4 interceptions. Also, key is to stop Barkley in this offense because then it opens everything up in the playbook.

Can you summarize what it was like playing against the Browns last week?

Browns did a great job on defense. The offense made all the right plays in critical spots. Bengals had the lead going into the final two minutes and could not stop them on the last drive to seal the game.

What makes Saquon Barkley so good?

He's one of the true three down backs we have in this league. He can do it all. Runs great, catches out of the backfield and can pass protect his QB Hurts.

Over your career, what makes a team better at not turning the ball over as the season goes along? What kind of things you need to emphasize? How much of it is coaching? How much of it is a mental part? Physical part?

Be patient and make the correct reads. Take what the defense gives you. A lot of it is mental, just being patient and staying on course. I have a big time receiver that I trust in big moments.

Can you describe how important it was to get a win at home this week?

Important for our fans and our organization to get the Win. We needed this win to stay in contention for our division.

How much of a problem is Jalen Carter on the defensive line?

Absolute monster. Nightmare to deal with him in the running game along with the passing game. He puts a lot of pressure on you as a O lineman and QB.
