RB Tony Pollard is so impressive, how hard he runs is so apparent. What else about his skill set makes him special?
Tony Pollard is one of the best running-backs in the league. We got extremely luck with picking him up this past off-season. He has managed to be a chain-mover for us and constantly getting crucial first downs for us, big gains and explosive plays resulting in touchdowns. He just sees the open lanes like other running-backs don't in the league. I don't know many other backs in the league are able to generate the plays that he is.
Are you seeing the speed of the game starting to slow down for some of the rookies?
I don't think our rookies have had a problem adjusting from the tempo in college to the tempo in the pros. Obviously there's a skill change, you're going to have to adjust against playing some of the best players in the world but for example… our first round pick, JC, our tackle. You would think he's an NFL veteran. I think our class has been great and it'll only get better with them.
How do you see the competition level in the AFC South currently?
I believe the AFC South has been a bumpy ride so far and it seems no one has been able to find their identity – closest team has been the Colts. But we're 2-5, I feel like in any, or at least most other division in the league our season is over but we're only two games behind in the division with half the year to play still. So, it's been a wild ride so far for the four teams in the South but knowing we still have a chance to win it, we're going to do our best and what has to be done to win it.
