The Best Madden Player at Every Position

pQB: Patrick Mahomes
Mahomes has set feet lead, and hot route master, maybe the 2 best abilities in the game. Almost any team would trade their starting QB for Mahomes right away, the only player I could see an argument for being above him is Lamar Jackson, because of his running ability and style preferences.

RB: Saquon Barkley
If you have a certain style that you want for your RB, you can make an argument for Derrick Henry or Christian McCaffrey, but Saquon gives you the best mix of speed, power, and receiving ability.

WR: Tyreek Hill
Hill basically has 99 for everything you want as a WR. 99 speed, 99 release, 98 for all route running, 98 juke. Other receivers have higher catching, but Hill’s is certainly high enough to get the job done.

TE: George Kittle
Kittle has top end speed, and is probably the best blocker of all the TEs. He may not be the top tight end for much longer, but for now he is the best. Kyle Pitts is the best pure receiver, but with how hard it is to run this madden having an elite blocking TE is useful.

OL: Trent Williams
Williams has edge protector and nasty streak, probably the two best offensive line abilities. He is the only 99 overall offensive lineman. Who knows how much time Williams has left in his career, but right now he is the best player in the trenches across the league.

Interior DL: Dexter Lawrence
Lawrence has inside stuff, the best run stopping ability, though it is not as strong as last year. He also has 2 potential spots to get more abilities. He is a top tier pass rusher as well, with 98 power move and el toro as an ability.

Edge Rusher: Myles Garrett
There are a bunch of top tier pass rushers that could be here, Parsons, Bosa, Crosby, but Garrett is the best run defender of the group. He can play inside or outside and is the backbone of the Browns defense.

LB: Fred Warner
Warner is a complete monster in the middle of the field. He is the 3rd 49er on this list, showing how much star power that team has. Lurker and Mid Zone KO should shut down the middle of the field. He may not be the top run defender, but that coverage ability is unmatched at LB.

CB: Sauce Gardner
Gardner can match just about any WR one on one, besides Tyreek Hill. His speed could be his only downside as the league progresses, and even then he is still above average in that department. Tariq Woolen could have an argument to overtake Gardner, but as the league stands Gardner is the top dog.

S: Jessie Bates
Bates can play any deep zone and cover the back end of the field. He should come down with a ton of pass breakups and interceptions, as long as he is playing free safety. p
